Monster Widget

Hooray, you’ve found your way to the Monster Widget page!

You’re probably wondering what that little monster dude is all about. Well, it all started with a dream. A dream, and a guy who likes monsters. This guy. As he says on his website, he created the Monster_ID plugin because he thought it would be cool to have a unique identifier for each visitor automatically. They’re unique because each monster is made up of body parts that are randomly stuck together based on your IP address. I also thought that would be cool, so I installed his plugin. You can see the results when you leave a comment. It gets posted along with a little monster dude. The monsters are unique to IP addresses, so if your IP doesn’t change often you’ll see the same monster next to your name each time you post a comment! Cool eh?

So, what’s that got to with the little monster you’re seeing in the column to the right? That’s where the Monster Widget comes in! You don’t always feel like leaving a comment, but it’s always nice to see your little monster. Why not display him/her right up front? So that’s what I’ve done. The Monster Widget uses the same function as the Monster_ID, so the monster you see on the right will be the same one you see if you leave a comment.

Anyway, that’s the Monster Widget. RAWR!
